Peer Ghulam Muhammad Shah passes away
Anantnag : Rafi Ahmad Mir, former MLA Pahalgam and General Secretary Apni Party has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Mirwaiz Jamia Masjid Pahalgam, Peer Ghulam Muhammad Shah. In his condolence message, Mir described Ghulam Muhammad Shah as a great Islamic scholar, who was an embodiment of spirituality. “His passing away has left a big void which will be difficult to fill,” Mir said.
Rafi Mir also expressed heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
It is pertinent to mention that late Shah was a resident of Aishmuqam who served as the Mirwaiz of Pahalgam Jamia Masjid for more than forty years, the statement read.
