Admin should work to mitigate sufferings of correlated groups

SRINAGAR, March 01: Former Legislator and General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir has called upon the Jammu and Kashmir Department of Geology and Mining for their deficient strategy over dissemination and extraction of minerals in the valley.
He has shown strong resentment towards the hassle and inconvenience caused to the truck drivers who are caught by the police on various checkpoints for carriage of minerals including Sand, Stones and Bajri.
He also expressed dismay over the soaring prices of concrete materials including brownstone, sand, Bajri and other related construction material. He asked the administration to ponder over the non-professional management over the disputed issue that is causing worriment among the common masses
“The transporters are facing issues due to the inconvenience caused to them by local police while carrying the concrete construction material. Most of the vehicles get seized on the way. The proper order needs to be followed to provide hassle free dissemination of building materials,” he said.
He urged the administration and concerned departments to intervene into the matter and address the plight of the people associated with this sector including the transporters. He demanded hassle free and in order delivery of concrete materials across the valley.
