Ravinder Raina chairs BJP leaders meet in Srinagar ahead of Supreme Court in Article 370 case

Srinagar, Dec 10 : Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina on Sunday chaired a high-level meeting of senior leaders in Srinagar ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on a batch of petitions challenging the abrogation of Article 370 by the Centre on August 05, 2019. 


Sources told news agency KNS that the J&K BJP chief stressed on the leaders and workers that whatever will be the verdict by the Supreme Court will be honoured and the decision by top court is accepted by one and all. 


He asked the leaders not to speak with media and make any irresponsible statements after the Supreme Court announces its verdict on the Article 370 case. “Whatever be the verdict should be accepted to all,” he told the leaders as per sources. 


Sources said that he also asked the leaders not to indulge in any kind of celebrations or burst firecrackers even if the verdict is in favour of the Centre. 


As per the sources the directions have been received by the party high command ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on Article 370. 
The Supreme Court will deliver its verdicts tomorrow whether the move to scrap special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 was unconstitutional.


The 5-judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud had reserved the verdict in the case on September 05 after hearing the matter for 16 days.
