Srinagar, 05 July: The Royal College of Psychiatrists in London conducted their famous annual International Congress in the first week of July.

The research studies were led by Dr Sheikh Shoib, one of the famous senior Psychiatrists of Srinagar, and also recieved collaboration from Dr Shah Faisal, who is currently working in UK.

The first research was a preliminary study based on the drastic effect of disturbance of sleep (like snoring) on mental health (Obstructive sleep apnoea). Dr Shah presented this in the Rapid fire round and received huge appreciation from the audience. Dr Sheikh Shoaib and team put forth a hypothesis for the same which was very well appreciated by international consultant psychiatrists and received a constructive feedback from some to do further research in the same field in different settings. This event was attended by some other Psychiatrists of Kashmiri origin working in UK .
