Famous Bollywood movie ‘3 Idiots’ was screened at Zorawar Hall, Haiderbeg, Pattan with around 200 students and youth watching the movie for the first time since 1980’s.
According to locals, the Zorawar Hall renovated recently has been a major attraction for the locals in the 1980’s to watch their favorite Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Hema Malini, Zeenat Aman etc.
The organisers said that 21 May 2022 will be a milestone in the history of North Kashmir as 3 Idiots was screened in the Zorawar hall- a tradition & spirit of Indian Army’s genuine effort to connect with the AWAAM.
It is pertinent to mention that the movie is popular not only among students but people of all walks of life throughout India.
“It was a landmark event today. Since 1980’s the hall was closed to the general public but today with the army’s genuine efforts to connect with Awaam, the bollywood movie was screened. A large number of people came to watch the movie in the hall,” the officials said.
On the sidelines, around 200 students from various schools of North Kashmir met Coy Commander and had an informal & friendly interaction with the enigmatic ‘Major Saab’.
The officials said that the delightful atmosphere witnessed during the day’s event is a strong indicator of normalcy & vibrancy apart from the true heart and mind connection of the Olive Green with the locals.
The students were exultant & thrilled to witness & participate in such an unprecedented & prodigious beanfeast.
“This day, 21 May can be etched as ‘Return of Silver Screen in North Kashmir’ and ‘The Golden Times are here’” officials added.
