2 employees suffered injuries yesterday, accused arrested

Ganderbal, Jan 01: The employees of the Revenue Department on Friday staged a protest at Mini-Secretariat Ganderbal after two of their colleagues were attacked yesterday at Wakura while performing their duties.
The employees of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal demanded stern action against the culprits, while as administration in Ganderbal had assured action in this regard.
As per the Kashmir Despatch correspondent, two employees of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal were critically injured in Wakura Ganderbal after they were attacked by Zulfikar Malik of Wakoora. The reason for the attack is still unknown.
The injured person has been identified as Arif Ahmad baba and Showkat Ahmad.
Meanwhile, a police official said, “We received the complaint about one incident that took yesterday at Wakoor, whereas two employees of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal were allegedly attacked by Zulfikar Malik of Wakoora”.
He added, “The accused have been arrested under section 307 of IPC, while further investigation is on. Further two employees who have been injured are currently going under treatment at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, District Magistrate Ganderbal Shafkat Iqbal has assured the protesting employees that action will be taken against the accused.
