RU-BA-RU: BADALTA SOPORE saw people discussing grass root problems and ways to redress them

Sopore on Thursday could hear loud voices from awam coming from different directions coming in unison for noble causes and discussing grass root problems and ways to redress them in the event RU-BA-RU here at Sopore.

RU-BA-RU, is a platform for awam of Sopore to express the grassroot hurdles faced by them in order to redress the issues at an earliest.

A number of prominent personalities from Sopore and areas adjoining Sopore shared the stage and brought out various issues which are not being addressed.

A total of 52 eminent personalities to include Masrat Kar-MC chairperson, DDC Tujjar & DDC Zangair, Chairman of Municipal Counselor, representative from Sopore Private Schools & Colleges, Masjids, Agriculture, Horticulture, Merchants along with 25 Sarpanch and Panch from far flung villages participated in the event.

Several dignitaries participated in the event including Masrat Kar – Municipal Council Chairperson, Rayees Kaloo – trade Business, Irfan Ali – councillor, Akthar Rasool – councillor, Furkan Janwari – United kashmir NGO, Ashiq Hussain Zaki – Rahat NGO and Irfan dilawar bhat – Social activist.

An interactive interface session to discuss Online Radicalisation and Societal role in preventing Innocent killings and Development of Jhelum River along with various other topics was organised at Wular Resort View, Watlab.

The aim was to discuss the current situation in Sopore and address it collectively and also work towards the betterment of the society.

The organisers said that such events bring the grass root level leaders and other influential people at a common platform to discuss the problems faced by the society and come up with a feasible solution.

“Events like these will definitely bring about a positive change in Sopore in times to come,” they added.
