Rumors Of Petrol, Diesel Shortage Leads To Panic Buying in Sopore

Sopore : The tumors of petrol and diesel shortage has led to panic buying in North Kashmir’s Sopore town here on Wednesday.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that people were seen panic buying, and there are rumors that fuel station will remain closed due to shortage of petrol and diesel.

Long queues were witnessed since Wednesday morning at several fuel stations in Sopore town.

People gathered at petrol pumps in many places creating a ruckus at many places.

Witnessing the crowd and fearing any untoward incident, the petrol pump employees left the pump with a message that petrol will be available after 3 p.m.

Talking to Kashmir Despatch, a fuel station owner said that shortage of fuel is completely baseless.

“There is no shortage of petrol or diesel anywhere in the valley. These reports are just baseless. We appeal people not to panic and go for panic buying,” he added.
