Baramulla, April 25: Giving recognition to the excellence achieved towards socio-economic development, DDC Chairperson Baramulla Safina Beigh and the then Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla Yar Ali Khan have been awarded as the best elected representative and the best Govt officer respectively.
The award has been given by the Uttrakhand based NGO namely, Sanguine We Care Welfare Society on the function organized to celebrate National Panchayati Raj Divas 2023 wherein Union Minister of Forests, Technical Education, Elections & Language, Shri Subodh Uniyal was invited as the chief guest.
According to official sources, National level NGO – Sanguine We Care Welfare Society in association with Uttarakhand Heritage Media , organized “Atmanirbhar Bharat Rashtriya Gramya Sashaktikaran Puraskar – 2023” by felicitating/awarding the outstanding Elected Panchayat Representatives along with the Line Department Officers/ Officials from across India, who have dedicatedly contributed in strengthening the Nation by empowering Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Institutions and have supported at the grass root level.
All such functionaries who have excelled in different domains under different thematic categories were felicitated and in Jammu and Kashmir, Safina Baig, District Development Chairperson Baramulla was awwarded as “THE BEST DDC – 2023”, Yar Ali Khan , the then Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla as “THE BEST GOVT OFFICER IN THE DEPT OF RD & PR- 2023,” and Aijaz Ahmad Khan , IEC Consultant as “THE BEST IEC & FILM MAKER 2023” . All the awardees have participated in the event through virtual mode.
