Samvidhan Diwas observed by SAKHI – One Stop Centre Bandipora

BANDIPORA : SAKHI- One Stop Centre Bandipora, J&K today on 26th November, 2021 celebrated Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) at it’s conference hall at Bandipora.

During the said programme, Samvidhan of India was highlighted and participants were made aware of the same.


Centre Administrator, SAKHI – One Stop Centre, Bandipora, Miss Ishrat Ayoub deliberated the importance of the day. She said ‘Constitution Day or Samvidhan Diwas is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.

On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted to the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.””The objective of celebrating this Samvidhan Diwas 2021 is to learn an
understand our Constitutional Duties and Rights and celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.” Ishrat added.


Speaking about the day, Miss Shahida Bashir, ITP, OSC Bandipora while briefing the audience about the Preamble of India, also highlighted the services available at One Stop Centre to fight violence and said that One Stop Centre is playing a great role in supporting and encouraging the women folk of the society to come forward for the fight against violence.

It was highlighted that services from Psycho-social Counselling to police assistance , legal services to short stay shelters, medical facility to emergency responses and all women related support facilities are being provided free of cost at One Stop Centre, Bandipora.

While mentioning role of OSC, she added “OSC provides an interface for affected women to approach the government for availing their entitlements and empowering them through redressal of various violences.


During the said programme, staff of SAKHI – One Stop Centre Bandipora, J&K took pledge for Constitution Day and Preamble of India was read with respect and spirit.
