Seeking apology does not amount to justice: PDF

Date:

Srinagar, Jan 07 : Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) General Secretary Mir Abdul Qayoom said that the ‘apology’ sought by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti’s to the families of those who were killed during 2016 agitation can’t bring justice to the victims and their families.
In a statemen, PDF general secretary said that the apology sought today does not amount to justice for the families.
He said that PDP president cannot befool people by exonerating herself today when she is out of power.
He said that PDP president cannot wash out her failures by seeking apology to the people of south Kashmir in particular and of the state in general.
He said that PDP president is apologizing to people and in the same breath is justifying the alliance with BJP which she says “was taking poison”.
He said that it is astonishing that PDP president once again blames what she called “garbage leaders” for compelling her to run to the power galleries, betraying the interests of the people which speak volumes about her sincerity and capabilities.
He said that Mehbooba Mufti should explain to the people whether she gave them good governance or what she called a government run by “garbage leaders”.
The PDP general secretary said that fact is PDP while in government was full of failures, deceit, betrayal, aggression and unaccountability.
He said that people in Kashmir are wise enough to understand the “tamasha”, especially the people of south Kashmir who suffered a lot because of the betrayal by PDP.
