GANDERBAL :Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have arrested 7 persons for defying the prohibitory orders issued by the government to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease, an official said on Tuesday.
Police have also seized 12 loaded tippers from the arrested drivers, he said
While as Ganderbal Police took strict action against violators of Govt lockdown orders from the day first, in continuation of it Police party from Police Station Ganderbal headed by SHO Police Station Ganderbal Insp Khursheed Ahmad under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Dr Abdul Majid-JKPS arrested seven violators and also seized 12 tippers loaded with bricks and bajri respectively at T-chowk duderhama and wahidpora Ganderbal.
In this regard case FIR Nos. 88/2020 89/2020 U/S 188,269 IPC stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal.
SSP Ganderbal shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS warns lockdown violators otherwise contravention will abide strict action under law as previous violators faced and SSP Ganderbal also requested people for more support by way of observing the proper lockdown across district in prevention of further spread of COVID-19.
