Seven shops, residential house gutted in Kupwara fire mishap

Srinagar, July 02 : A residential house and seven shops were gutted in a fire Incident in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday night.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said the fire broke out in one of the shop at Diver Lolab in Kupwara district and quickly spread to adjoining structures.

Reports said the fire and emergency services immediately rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames after an half-long operation.

A total of one house and seven shops were damaged in the fire mishap.

A police officer said the cause of fire was not known immediately, he however said short circuit is said to the cause of fire. The officer said a case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
