Doda, July 15 : A tragic road accident occurred in the Ponda area along the Doda-Barath road on Tuesday, after a tempo traveller bearing registration number JK06-4847 skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge.
Reportedly multiple casualties are feared, though the exact number of deaths and injuries is yet to be confirmed. The vehicle was carrying several passengers at the time of the accident.
Rescue operations were immediately launched by local police, and volunteers, with authorities rushing to the scene to assist in retrieving the victims and providing emergency medical aid.
Official further said that more details will be shared once the rescue operation concludes and identification of the victims is complete.
