Sopore, August 02: Several people were arrested and many vehicles were seized by Jammu and Kashmir police after residents were seen violating restrictions in Sopore.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said several residents at EidGah Sher Colony Sopore created law and order situation following which many people were arrested and FIR was launched.
As per the eye witness, many people were seen enjoying the park amid Eid-Ul-Adha festival. However, the local administration had imposed restrictions in the area amid Covid-19 pandemic.
“These people are so careless. People were without mask and there was no social distance among the people who were seen in the park”, said Ghulam Ahmed, a local resident.
He added we appeal to the authorities to look into the matter and those who are found violating the guidelines should be dealt with strictly.
Meanwhile, sources said to Kashmir Despatch that soon after the news broke that people created law and order situation while violating guidelines issued by the administration amid Covid-19 pandemic. While as per the reports, few people were arrested, several vehicles were seized by SHO Police Station Tarzoo Sopore.
