Several shops sealed for flouting lockdown norms in Varmul

Srinagar, July 10: Authorities in north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Friday sealed several shops here in the town for violating the COVID lockdown order.


Taking note of rampant violation of social distancing norms by people and the shops’ District Admin in Baramulla on Friday raided several locations in the town and sealed several shops for violating the issued guidelines and also warned of strong crackdowns on violators in and around the town.


Giving details to Kashmir Despatch nodal officer Baramulla Zeeshan Khan said several shops were sealed by a joint team of revenue department and police in the town for not following the instructions and guidelines issued by district admin. He said the market was crowded at all times and people are blatantly floating every measure and even are not wearing masks properly as they move outdoors. The officer however urged people to adhere to social distancing and wear masks to defeat Covid-19.
