Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief G A Mir on Monday said that IAS turned politician Shah Faesal should put end to his speculations over quitting the politics and joining the bureaucracy, while he has several options in front of him.

There are reports emerging that Shah Faesal may join bureaucracy again. However, there are no official words from the Shah Faesal yet, though, last night, IAS officer-turned-politician Shah Faesal dropped ‘JKPM president’ from his Twitter bio.

Shah Faesal is the founder of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement party, but his Twitter bio now only reads as ‘Edward S Fellow @HKS Harvard University. Medico. Fulbright. Centrist’.

Talking to Kashmir Despatch, Mir said that Shah Faesal is a leader of the educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir. As there are speculations over him (Shah Faesal) joining the bureaucracy, he should come forward and clear all the things by himself.

Mir in a telephonic conversation with Kashmir Despatch said that I don’t have much knowledge about it as IAS turned politician Shah Faesal is in the best position to answer all this.

“Before joining the politics, Shah Faesal was already on the right path and I guess after joining politics he may have thought he can lead the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in a better way. And, as of today, he has both the options whether he should use the political platform or back to civil services”, Mir added
