Srinagar, Apr 05 : Former bureaucrat-turned-politician and president of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), Dr. Shah Faesal on Friday vowed to support Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) candidate from Lok Sabha Baramulla constituency, Engineer Abdul Rasheed Sheikh.
Shah while talking to news agency said that he will vote in favour of Er Rasheed, saying that the decision to support him was his own. “Though there were some disagreements over supporting him in the party but this was my own decision to support Er Rasheed,” Dr. Faesal said.
He added that among the candidates from Bla LS constituency, Er Rasheed was the best candidate, saying he (Er Rasheed) has a strong voice.
Dr. Shah further told news agency that he has personally listened to the appeal of Er Rasheed. “I sided with Er Rasheed in this situation. It will be very good in case I will support the person. This man is courageous. There was no question over the integrity of Er Rasheed as legislator therefore I opted to support him in the elections,” he said. (KNS)
