Srinagar, September 7, 2025: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) State Secretary Sheikh Ashiq today inaugurated the newly established Food Street at Narbal Highway, marking the creation of a modern gastronomic hub for residents of Srinagar and Baramulla districts.
The Food Street brings together several renowned international brands along with local delicacies, offering visitors a diverse range of culinary experiences under one roof.
Designed to cater both to local residents and travelers, the initiative aims to boost connectivity, comfort and hospitality services along the busy highway stretch.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Ashiq said the project will not only elevate lifestyle amenities but also generate new employment opportunities for youth and contribute to the region’s economy. “This Food Street will promote tourism while providing a space where global and Kashmiri flavors meet, reflecting our culture of hospitality,” he remarked.
