Sheikh Mohammad Imran demands ex-gratia for Fire victims of Brane-Nishat

SRINAGAR, April 26: Former Deputy Mayor SMC and J&K People’s Conference State Youth President on Tuesday conveyed his deep solidarity with the fire victims of Sheikh Mohalla, Brane-Nishat where at least five houses were gutted in a hapless fire incident.

In a statement issued to the media, Imran said that such a portentous incident has not only damaged the houses of victim families but even crushed their hopes of a better and prosperous future.

“This is a heart-wrenching incident. I request the district administration Srinagar to immediately depute the assessment making teams to the vicinity & provide adequate compensations to these families in order to help them rebuild their torn down homes once again,” he said.

Imran further demanded a temporary rehabilitation of these families in view of the ongoing sacred month of Ramadan. “Till requisite ex-gratia is disbursed to these families, I am hopeful that concerned authorities will rehabilitate these helpless families in suitable temporary accommodations on humanitarian grounds,” he added.
