Srinagar : The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Thursday formed a new body in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The party elected a young energetic Sikh Youth leader Amanjit Singh Aman as president of youth wing of SAD(A).
Earlier the party said that senior Party Leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) including S. Jaskaran Singh Kansinghwala, General Secretary, S. Harbhajan Singh Kashmiri President Patiala Distt. and incharge J&K affairs of party, S. Pargat Singh Makhu, President Kissan Wing Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Ferozpur and S. Ranjeet Singh Advisor Kissan Wing of Party visited Jammu on the direction of S. Simranjit Singh Mann (M.P) and president Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), to assess the burning issues of Sikhs in Jammu and Kashmir and to strengthen Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) in J&K.
The statement said that large number of supporters of S. Simranjit Singh Ji Mann (M.P), including Sikh Youth Prominent Social activists, and many DGPC members from Jammu province participated in a meeting at Digiana Camp, Gurdwara Sahib called by S. Harbhajan Singh Kashmiri Incharge J&K Affairs of party.
S. Jaskaran Singh Kansinghwala, while addressing the gathering threw light on the role and achievements of party president S. Simranjit Singh Mann for Sikh community and Punjab.
He disclosed that after proper consultations in our high command and as per recommendations of our senior leader and I/c J&K affairs. S. Harbhajan Singh Kashmiri, S. Narinder Singh Khalsa has been appointed as new president of the party for entire Jammu and Kashmir, S. Inderjit Singh Kuku, will be new Sr. Vice president of SAD (A) & S. Ram Singh will continue as General Secretary of the party.
He said, in order to promote our young generation for Panthak leadership in J&K our party has nomi Shri Amanjit Singh Aman as president of youth wing of SAD(A) in J&K.
