Hails JKAP president for flagging the issue well in time

SRINAGAR, June 17: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) leader Showkat Gayoor Andrabi on Wednesday lauded the government for doing away with the controversial SRO 202 from the new recruitment rules.

In a statement issued here, Andrabi termed the decision taken by Lieutenant Governor G. C Murmu a move that has provided a sigh of relief to the unemployed youth of J&K.

“The youth of J&K were disillusioned vis-à-vis their future prospectus because of the SRO 202. Now with the government nullifying its applicability on the new recruitment policy, the job aspiring youth feel their morale has been boosted by the government,” he observed.

Andrabi also expressed gratitude to the JKAP president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari for raising this issue well in time which has yielded the desired results. “Since our   president was the first to flag this issue and demand revocation of SRO 202, the people of J&K particularly the youth should feel the difference. JKAP believes in practical politics and pledges to fight for all genuine rights of the people of J&K,” the JKAP leader opined.

He hoped that a maximum number of youth in J&K would apply for the posts to be advertised by the government in coming days. “In view of the much needed modification carried out by the LG led government on the request of JKAP, the youth in J&K feel emboldened to aspire for government jobs. Since the probation period has been reduced from five to two years, I hope that the meritorious youth will make it to the final lists and fulfil the dreams of their parents,” Andrabi added.
