KULGAM, DECEMBER 27: Showkat Hussain Ganie today assumed the charge as District Information Officer (DIO), Kulgam.
A 2012 batch JKAS officer, Showkat is also performing duties as DIO Shopian.
After assumption of charge, the DIO chaired an introductory cum interactive session with the employees and also reviewed overall functioning of the Department in the district.
He was briefed about the functioning of various sections of the department.
The DIO enjoined upon the officials to work in coordination and cooperation with special focus on publicity of government welfare schemes and programmes so that people can avail benefits of these schemes.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Information Officer Kulgam, Sajad Ahmad Shah and other staff members.
