Raises Numerous Issues Pertaining to the Sikh Community
Srinagar, Oct 29: A delegation led by Sikh youth leader Amanjeet Singh met with Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary and Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma.
The delegation also had a meeting with J&K National Conference (JKNC) patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the persistent challenges faced by the Sikh community and firmly expressed their belief that it is time for the government to take decisive action to address pressing issues related to the Sikh community in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
They raised concerns about drug abuse, Sikh rights, and several crucial matters impacting the minority community in the region. Furthermore, the delegation emphasized important issues regarding the safety and security of minority employees.
Amanjeet Singh has consistently served as a voice for the Sikh community and has made significant contributions as a social activist on behalf of his community.
The Deputy Chief Minister and the Cabinet Minister assured the delegation that all their genuine concerns would be addressed in a phased manner.
