Kupwara : Lt Gen DP Pandey GOC Chinar Crops on Monday said that situation in north Kashmir is peaceful and in coming months it will be improved more.
As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, GOC after interacted with 150 national cadet corps (NCC) at an ongoing seven day NCC annual training camp in Machil said that in coming months the peaceful situation will be more improved in northern region of Kashmir. He said that everything is fine today if compared with past 4-5 years. He said the situation is very much under control and there is nothing to worry about it in north Kashmir.
While answering the question regarding the present status of militants in north Kashmir, the top army officer said that two militants groups came this side and we succeed to eliminate the one group and efforts are on for the second one.
The officer said that there was a decrease in the number of militants in Kashmir and all credit goes to the people who are peace lovers and are against violance. The officer said that people here are fed up with this violance, band calls now.
While appealing youth, Lt Gen DP Pandey said that white collar militants are misleading them for their businesses, he said youth should focus on Kashmiri culture, art as this culture is unique in the whole world.
