Division of Plant Pathology (FoA) started an MSME sponsored advanced entrepreneurship and skill development program on ‘Mushroom Production Technology’ at Wadura on 2nd of Nov. 2023.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries comprising Dean Agriculture and Heads of various disciplines.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Asha Nabi, who extended greetings to the Chief Guest, Prof. Raihana Habib Kanth, Heads of various Divisions and other distinguished guests including trainees.
Dr. T. A. Wani, Program Coordinator, highlighted the need of youth empowerment and role of skill development besides providing an overview of MSME and its efforts for economic growth and development of India.
Prof. Ali Anwar, Head of the Division of Plant Pathology, acknowledged the efforts of programme coordinator and his team for such endeavours and also appreciated participating youth for showing interest towards such an enterprise.
He also emphasized on the significance of mushroom production in the agricultural landscape and encouraged the trainees to make the most of this opportunity.
In her address, Chief Guest added grace to the event by commending the Division of Plant Pathology for hosting this skill oriented training program and also extended her gratitude to MSME New Delhi for sponsoring such programmes for the wellbeing of our youth across the country.
As expressed, she was also thankful to HVC SKUAST-K for the allocation of the ACRIP on Mushroom to FoA Wadura some time ago.
