Kupwara : An Army man was killed and three others were injured after an avalanche hit an army unit at AJIT post in Tangdhar sector of north Kashmi’s Kupwara district on Wednesday.
Official sources told Kashmir Despatch that an army unit of 39 GR came under an avalanche today morning at AJit Post, forward area in Tangdhar sector along the line of control. four soldiers came under the avalanche.
He said that after the efforts of jawans all were evacuated, However, one died on the spot and three others were taken to nearby army’s health facility for treatment.
The deceased has been identified as RFN Laxman (22) while all injured have been identified as RFN Anil Khatri (25), RFN Ishal (25), Snil (25) are are undergoing treatment in military hospital official added.
Pertainally on Tuesday four army soldiers were killed after snow avalanche hit Machil sector of Kupwara district.
