Sopore : Authorities have ‘failed’ to clear snow roads on the upper belt of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Residents of Chehaar, Marwal and other villages in Kandi belt are facing various problems owing to the accumulated snow on the road which connects them with other parts of the valley.
Group of people talking with Kashmir Despatch said admin have failed sofar to clean the snow from various roads which connects us with other parts and putting us to much inconvenience. They said that they have been suffering due to the accumulated snow in the areas, with subzero temperatures making it difficult for them to venture out of their homes early in the morning.
The residents of all these areas have criticized the administration for not coming up to their expectation.
The residents of Chehaar said that the snow has not been cleared till date; the locals are subjected to huge inconvenience. They said despite approached concerned authorities but nothing has been so far.
ADC Sopore Ashiq Hussain Lily told Kashmir Despatch that all the link and inner roads in his jurisdiction are cleaned, he added that i don’t Know why people are claimed so, how much admin can we did it.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla was not available for commits.
