Some political parties in valley dividing people with hollow slogans: Altaf Malik

Srinagar: Without naming any political party, senior Congress leader Altaf Malik, who is also contesting District Development Council (DDC) election from Rohama constituency in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, said that some political parties are dividing people in Kashmir with their hollow slogans.


Altaf Malik while talking to Kashmir Despatch said that Congress has fought on every front for Kashmir be in parliament or at another level and even party senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad was not allowed to visit Kashmir.


“Whereas there are some political parties here in the valley who has been dividing people over false slogans and I am pretty sure that people won’t pay attention to those slogans”, he added.


“Also I want to say that it was the Congress party that gave Article 370 and it the same Congress party that will restore Article 370. As it is in the agenda of Congress party that once they are back in power, they will restore Article 370 and statehood”, Malik added.


Malik further added, “There is a need of restoration of Article 370, statehood and 4g speed internet and people here particularly in the valley is anguish over the center’s decision which they took last year”.
