Sopore : The week-long Volleyball tournament organized by Army’s 52 RR concluded at Seer village of Sopore on Saturday.
The final match was played between Seer Sports and Ushkwara Baramulla. Both the teams showcased their immense talent but Seer Sports performed better and won the final match.
As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, youth of the neighboring villages participated in the tournament showing gusty performances.
Besides, cash prizes, trophies. were awarded to the players by Commanding officer 52 RR Col HA Waknis, who attended the event as the Chief Guest.
On the occasion the chief guest said that the motive of the tournament was to promote sports and physical fitness amongst the youth and provide opportunity to the youth of the remote areas to step out and showcase their sports talent.
Meanwhile, the players talking with Kashmir Despatch said such tournaments should be conducted in the near future also because games and sports are the best means of fitness. They said Conducting various sports activities strengthen the bond and generate goodwill among the youth.
