The patient had hidden his positive result, investigation started: BMO Sopore

Sopore, August 03 : In a first, a COVID-19 patient from Sopore has allegedly died at his home here on Monday morning.
Sources told Kashmir Despatch said, a 65-year-old man a resident of New Colony Sopore was first tested on Rapid antigen at Bandipora, wherein he was found positive.
Sources however said that instead of being shifted to hospital. The patient had allegedly hide test report and was residing at his home, since being tested positive.
While as the patient was treated at home by a private nurse from last few days.
However, on Monday morning, the patient’s health deteriorated and he died. He was then shifted to hospital. However, he was declared dead.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch, BMO Sopore Asif Khanday said, a man from Sopore died at his home today morning. His body was taken to SDH Sopore, where it was informed that the man was Covid-19 positive.
He added that we will initiate the inquiry about how come a private nurse was treating a Covid-19 patient at home. He said the patient had spO2 below 70 nd was gasping. Also the patient was comorbid with Hypertension nd T2DM.
