MC President Masrat Kar advised parents to allow girls to participate in sports

Sopore : A 19-year-old girl Ronak Reyaz from Sopore who recently won a silver medal in the World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation’ (WEKAF) which was held in the Philippines was felicitated in a function here at Dak Banglow Sopore.
The function was organised by Army’s 22 RR and was headed by MC President Sopore Masrat Rasool Kar.
On the occasion students of Sopore Welkin Educational Institution were also present who held a debate show. The participants mostly included female students.
Talking with media MC President Sopore Masrat Rasool Kar said no doubt change is slow but is being visible on ground.
She said that the girls of Sopore are making the whole country proud.
She said that there are still few parents who are not allowing their daughters to participate in games and other competitions but they should come out from this dilemma as things on ground have changed and our daughters are making us proud in sports by achieving milestones not only at national but at international level too.
Masrat while addressing the youth said that time has come to prove your mettle and make the parents, Kashmir and nation proud.
