Sopore, April 10: 17 members of a family have been kept under quarantine after their 14-year-old girl tested positive in north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Thursday.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said 17 members of a family in Amargrah area of Sopore on Friday have been kept under quarantine as a precautionary measure after a teenage girl of the said person tested positive a day before.
A health official confirmed this newspaper that on Thursday a 14-year-old girl was one among the COVID-19 positive victims who were diagnosed on Thursday. The official said the girl had came in close contact with a COVID-19 victim of Gundjehangir area of Bandipora. Officials added, a team of doctors visited their residence in Amargrah Sopore and briefly instructed them the do’s and don’ts of Quarantine.
It is pertinent to mention here this is the fourth COVID-19 positive case reported from Sopore town.
Earlier a renowned business tycoon of Sopore town last his battle with life because of COVID-19, later a 70-year-old man tested positive in the town.
During this week Sopore Nurse who was appointed at JVC Srinagar tested positive.
