A man allegedly killed his mother over a heated argument in Sopore village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district police said.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that a man has been arrested for allegedly killing his mother over a heated argument in Dangerpora village of Sopore.
He said an offence under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 302 (murder) has been registered against the accused and further investigation has been initiated into this case.
The officer further added that the body of the lady has been taken to sub-district hospital Sopore for medico-legal formalities.
Pertinently, this is second such unfortunate incident in Kashmir since past 5 months.
In Nov 2022 a son with the help of his friend murdered his mother in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district only to steal money from the deceased.
