Municipal Council of Sopore President, Masrat Rasool Kar, expressed hope on Friday for the approval of the Deep-Drain project in Sopore this year. The project aims to provide relief to the town’s residents who have been plagued by waterlogging and drainage issues.
Kar highlighted that the Deep-Drain project has been given priority by the council and that they are hopeful for the approval of two or three projects this year.
She also pointed out that not a single project was approved in the previous year.
Sopore is known for its drainage and waterlogging issues, which are more severe compared to other municipalities in the region.
The council has been raising the issue at every level, including the district administration and LG administrators, to address the people’s concerns.
Kar mentioned that the council’s teams are always ready to respond to any water logging issue in any area of the town.
If approved, the Deep-Drian project is expected to bring relief to the people of Sopore and improve the town’s overall infrastructure. The council is hopeful that the project will be approved this year, and they will continue to work towards improving the town’s living conditions.
