Sopore, Mar 09 : Security forces on Saturday busted a militant hideout in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said.
An official said that, Sopore police, army’s 22 RR and CRPF’s 179 Bn, busted a terrorist hideout in the Logripora area, averting a potential tragedy.
Acting on credible information received through reliable sources, the law enforcement agencies swiftly launched a cordon and search operation in the jurisdiction of PS Bomai. Their coordinated efforts resulted in the discovery of a hideout utilized by terrorists to store arms and ammunition.
The recovered items include one Pistol, 02 pistol Magazines, 18 live pistol rounds, and one pistol pouch. These dangerous weapons were intended to be used by terrorists to disrupt peace and instigate violence in the valley.
The efficient actions by the police and security forces have once again demonstrated their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the inhabitants of Sopore. A case has been registered in the police station Bomai, and a thorough investigation into the matter is underway.
