Sopore, June 3 : A mini marathon was organized today from Model Town to Sadipora, Sopore, under the banner of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Baramulla.
The marathon saw enthusiastic participation from dozens of schoolchildren, who ran in solidarity to promote a drug-free society.
Prominent figures present at the event included MLA Sopore, Irshad Rasool Kar; ADC Sopore, S.A. Raina; officers from the Youth Services and Sports Department; and local police officials. Their presence not only motivated the participants but also underscored the administration’s commitment to combating drug abuse through public engagement and youth involvement.
The marathon concluded at Model Town, Sopore,where the young participants were commended for their efforts and dedication to the cause.
