People hailed SHO Sopore for timely decision

Sopore: In a major development, Sopore police has accommodated street vendors in town to certain proper locations providing enough relief to locals and transporters.
The street of Sopore were occupied by street vendors, hawkers and hand cart owners causing massive traffic jams throughout the day and great inconvenience to the pedestrian in the town.
Taking a step forward, SHO Sopore fixed certain proper location to the street vendors and provided relief to the people in the town.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch, SHO Sopore Azim Iqbal said that it was a disaster to see street vendors occupying so much of space causing immense trouble to locals as well as to administration.
“While noticing all this, we thought, why could not we move these street vendors to some other places which can provide relief to them as well as to commuters. We located few places and shifted them to there,” Azim added,
“We have received a good response and we are looking forward to redressing other issues as well as we are consistently in talk with the administration here in Sopore as well”.
Meanwhile, locals have appreciated the work of SHO Sopore Azim.
“It is a great step taken by Azim as people here were suffering every day and now people can relax a bit. Hope there will be no more massive traffic jams and people will breathe, said one of the locals.
