Director ULB Approved 40 lacks for developmental works

Sopore, Mar 17 : The Director Urban Local Bodies Wednesday chaired his maiden meeting in north Kashmir’s Sopore town and approved several new projects including the 100 street lights.
According to Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, Director Local Urban Bodies Riyaz Ahmad on Wednesday chaired a high level meeting with newly elected councillors at Dak Bunglow Sopore.
During the meeting many issues regarding the development of town were discussed.
On this occasion, director ULB assured all possible support to the newly elected councillors for the betterment and development of town.
He approved the action plan of 40 lacks for the development of town on the spot.
Meanwhile, talking with media councillor Irfan Ali said that this is just a begining and in coming times Sopore will be modified in all developmental ways.
“Today director ULB approved 100 street lights, which is a big relief as people here in town as they were facing huge Inconvenience. More developmental projects are on cards and Sopore will be counted among developed towns soon,” Irfan said.
The councilor further said that as waterlogging has become a nuisance in town, five de-watering pumps were also approved so that people will not suffer anymore during the rainy season.
