Sopore will see a massive change; Development my priority: President Municipal Council Masrat Rasool Kar

Sopore : The newly elected president of Municipal Council Sopore, Masrat Kar Wednesday said that with the support of people, Sopore will see a massive change on the developmental front and it is her top priority.

On the sidelines of the oath taking ceremony, Masrat told Kashmir Despatch that overall development of Sopore is her top priority and she will work effortlessly for the people of Sopore.

The oath ceremony was held at the Municipal council office here in Sopore with Councillors, officials from police and civil administration of Sopore also present on the occasion.

The oath was administered by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Sopore, Parvaiz Sajad to the recently elected chairperson and vice-president of Municipal council Sopore.

The national conference (NC) candidate and winner of Ward no. 13 Model town Sopore Ms Masrat Nissar Kar was elected chairperson and another (NC) candidate, who won uncontested at ward no.11 New colony Sopore Mohammad Yousuf Radoo was elected as vice chairman of Municipal council Sopore.

Masrat reiterated that Sopore was neglected on the developmental front for several years but the time has come when people of Sopore too need some sort of relief in terms of development, safe roads, clean and green town.
