Sopore: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday arrested and registered a case against an SPO for the alleged sarcastic post on social media platform about a particular community.
A senior police official in a statement to Kashmir Despatch said a SPO Peer Khalid 235/SPO was arrested for his ‘sarcastic’ post on Facebook. Whereas a written complaint was received by Police Station Dangiwacha from community members regarding ‘sarcastic’ post by said SPO and for demanded legal action.
“Accordingly a case FIR No. 12/2021 U/S 295 A/153 A IPC has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation set into motion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Sopore Police will never tolerate such kind of things to maintain communal harmony in the society”, he added.
