Spring festival aimed to revitalize cultural scenario, project rich cultural heritage in Kashmir: Secy Tourism

Srinagar, Mar 20 : The government on Monday said that the events being organized by the tourism department are aimed to revitalize the cultural scenario of Kashmir and also project the rich cultural heritage here.

Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed while talking to the reporters on the sidelines of the function here at Badamwari garden, said that the beautiful season of spring has arrived and there are picturesque places all across in the Valley where the tourists—domestic as well as foreign are visiting in large numbers.

“The department of Tourism has organised the Spring Festival with an aim to revitalize the cultural scenario as well as project the rich cultural heritage of the Valley,” he said.

He added that such events will help in making the already picturesque Kashmir valley more attractive for tourists.

“We are happy to see the large participation of people in such events. The department will come up with more such events in the future to give a further boom to the tourism sector,” Dr Syed Abid Rasheed said.
