Srinagar, June 21 : As Srinagar Gunfight over with the killing of three militants, Inspector General Of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on congratulates teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force for conducting successful operation.
In a tweet IGP Kashmir, congratulates teams of JKP & CRPF for conducting successful operation in Srinagar City in which 03 militants were killed with no collateral damage.
Earleir IGP Kashmir talking to media said that we tried to persuade militants to surrender, infact we brought their parents too on the encounter site but they rejected the offer.
The gunfight broke out on Sunday morning after a joint team of forces launched a cordon and search operation at Zoonimar area of Srinagar following inputs about the presence of some militants in the area. In the hours firefight three militants were killed.
Meanwhile authorities suspended internet services in Srinagar parts as a precautionary measure.
