Srinagar-Leh highway restored for one-way traffic

Date:

Srinagar, Nov. 10 : Authorities on Friday restored the traffic movement on the Srinagar-Leh highway; however,  only one way traffic has been allowed to pass.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that as fresh snowfall forces authorities to close the main highway in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, how’ver on Srinagar-Leh highway traffic has been restored one-sided after the snow was cleared on the highway.

The officer said that from Kargil towards Srinagar, traffic has been allowed to play today.

Pertinently, the higher reaches of Kashmir on Friday morning experienced a fresh spell of snowfall, while the plains received rains, leading to a significant drop in the maximum temperature. (KS)
