Srinagar Records Coldest October In 13 Years

Srinagar, 01 Nov: The month of October was the coldest in Srinagar in 13 years.

The mean minimum temperature in October this year was 4.23 degrees Celsius, the lowest since 2007, when it was 3.9 degrees Celsius, as per Kashmir Weather, independent weather forecaster.

Normally, Srinagar records a mean minimum temperature of 6.14 degrees Celsius in October.

On 27th October, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 0.1 degrees Celsius – the lowest in the month of October in 11 years. The last time Srinagar recorded such a low temperature was in 2009 when mercury dropped to minus 0.1 degrees Celsius.

The all-time low temperature recorded in Srinagar is minus 1.7 degrees Celsius, on October 29, 1934.
