Vacate land within three days or face action: DC Bandipora
Tauseef Ahmad
Bandipora, Jan. 19: The administration in Bandipora district of north Kashmir has asked the encroachers to remove illegal encroachments over state land within three days, failing which strict action would be taken against the encroachers.
Giing details about mega-encroachment drives to retrieve state Grazing land, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora said that 28,000 kanals of land have been retrieved to date.
“If any person fails to remove the encroachment, the department would swing into action, and people would have to pay the charges for the same,” he added.
Several notices have been issued across the tehsils of Sumbal, Bandipora, and Gurez, which state that strict action under the law will be taken against people who fail to remove illegal encroachments on the land.
“The general public is requested for their cooperation and support to curb this means of encroachment,” added Dr. Owais Ahmad.
