Baramulla : Global Youth Foundation, a non government organisation Friday evening held a candlelight protest in north Kashmir’s Baramulla town against the killing of a Kashmiri pandit employee by gunmen.
The candlelight protest was held under the leadership of Towseef Raina- Chairman of Global Youth Foundation. Hundreds of Kashmir Muslims participated in the vigil.
Demanding stern action against the culprits and adequate security for the minorities, chairman Tawseef Raina said that Kashmiri pandits are part of Kashmir culture.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that hundreds of socio-political activists and youth held a candlelight vigil in solidarity with the family of Kashmiri pandit employee Rahul Bhat who was shot dead by militants in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday evening.
Addressing the protestors, Tawseef Raina while condemning the barbaric killing said that the administration should come up with adequate measures to ensure the safety of Kashmiri pandits.
Anti national elements should not be given a chance to divide the people of Kashmir on the basis of religion or region,” Tawseef added.
