Local people were all praises for a police officer who managed the traffic smoothly near Wayil bridge in Ganderbal here on Sunday.
According to locals SHO Ganderbal Arshid Salfie did a tremendous job to restore the traffic as massive rush of commuters, tourists near Wayil bridge created problems for the people.
Besides performing his own duties the station house officer used good presence of mind and restored the traffic within minutes.
“I got stuck in the traffic for around one hour and it became hectic to stay in hot sun inside a car with my family. The immediate action taken by SHO Ganderbal in restoring the traffic is appreciable. My gratitude for the police officer,” Irshad Ahmad, a commuter said.
The massive traffic jam near Wayil bridge in Ganderbal created problems for the people as heavy rush of local tourists from other districts of the valley was witnessed in the area.
The weekend rush of people visiting the tourist spots in the district has created a lot of traffic jams in the past also but the efforts put by SHO Ganderbal has provided some sort of relief to the people.
