Stray dogs injure six people in Gurez

Bandipora, June 24 : At least six people were injured after they were attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Dawar locality of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday afternoon.

A health official told the news agency— that the stray dogs roaming in the area attacked and injured six persons including two women in Dawar in the afternoon.

He said that all the injured were shifted to SDH Gurez for treatment from where a woman was shifted to Bandipora for further treatment.

He identified the injured as Abdul Jabbar Magrey son of Gul Magrey, Mohammad Bhat son of Mukhtar Bhat, Mudasir Magrey son Majeed Magrey, Ghulam Mohammed Magrey son of Habib Magrey, Haleema Begum wife of Jabbar Magrey and Rukaya Bano daughter of Fatha Mohammad Sheikh-all residents of Dawar village.

Medical Superintendent, sub district hospital Gurez said that the injured were discharged after necessary treatment while as one among them was shifted to district hospital Bandipora for further treatment—(KNO)
