Students protest on poor transport service in Ganderbal

Ganderbal ; Scores of female students on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to highlight the issue of poor transportation.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said, the students of Gutlibagh and adjoining areas blocked the vehicular movement on Srinagar Leh highway road for hours.

The protesting students said that they are suffering a lot due to shortage of buses on Gutlibagh to Ganderbal route.

The said many times authorities were informed about this but nothing happened sofar only added in our sufferings.

On getting information, police team and civil administration officers rushed to the spot, pacified the agitating students and assured them the matter has been taken up with Motor Vehicles Department and concerned officers have agreed to start a bus service for students.
